FAQ:

Q: What is IHSA

A: IHSA stands for Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. It is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to providing western and english equestrian competition for all College and University students who are willing to compete!

 

Q: Where do you compete?
A: We are in Region 5, Zone 7. We compete against Universities in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Illinois!

 

Q: How do I know what level/class I compete in?

A: The IHSA website provides a "Placement Exam" that will assess your riding abilities and past show experience. From there it will place you in the appropriate category!

Q: How do I join the club?

A: You can be redirected to the Contact Tab by clicking here. Fill out your information and you will hear from us shortly! It is that easy!

Q: Do I need my own horse to compete or practice?

A: No! We understand that owning horses can be a large financial commitment, you do not need your own horse! We have plenty graciously provided to us! However if you have a horse and would like to board at VVEC you can contact Ann White!! Click here for the VVEC Website services.

Q: Can I still be apart of the club if I don't lesson?

A: Of course! We welcome anyone who has a passion for horses. Our club is so  more than just riding! We have various events for all of our members! But if you would like to compete for IHSA, you do need to actively be taking lessons with one of our Coaches!
